We are recruiting ambassadors who can advertise our products on Instagram, and show different ways of enjoying sake. If you are a fan of us or are a sake lover, let’s work together to spread the taste of KENBISHI to the world!
Stay unchanged and taking on new challenges. They might sound contradicting, but everything we do is to keep our tradition. Never chasing the trend, is also a way to stay the same. This is our policy that will never change.
The taste and the joy.
They are truly borderless.
Sake that goes well with any dish. Sake that always tastes the same. We are still pursuing the goal we set when we were established, which is now widely accepted all over the world. Our identity is passed on from era to era, and from Japan to the world.
Craftsmanship in
the brewing tools.
What we make is not just sake. The brewing tools are made from wood and straw by craftsmen in our brewery. We put an emphasis on training our craftsmen to overcome the shortage of heir.
Contribution to sustainability
since 500 years ago.
Sake lees are produced during the brewing process. Although they have rich nutrients and flavor. We have been reusing them as ingredients to make vinegar and pickles. This is a good example of our contribution to sustainability since 500 years ago.
Protection of our taste
leads to protection
of the forest.
Wooden tools are necessary in our brewing process, which are made of Yoshino cedar from Nara Prefecture Japan. Cutting down 150-year-old trees rejuvenates the forest, and increases its ability to absorb carbon dioxide. Our choice of tools contributes to reduction of CO2 emissions and prevention of global warming.
We keep changing
for not changing.
Our brewing process is designed by knowing the final result, and calculating backward from there. This is the only and the oldest method to achieve the ideal taste. One of our missions is to pass on the charm of Japanese sake and how to enjoy it. Our company president travels around the world and gives lectures at universities in order to demonstrate what we do, including how we make our tools.
